Is my family a fit for Online Learning?
Online learning can be a great option for many families, but it’s important to consider your routines and lifestyle. Here are a few questions to think about as you consider whether this model is a good match for your child and your family:
-
Are you (and your student) comfortable setting and sticking to a schedule?
-
Does your student generally complete tasks and meet deadlines?
-
Can your student stay focused and work independently for stretches of time?
-
When questions come up, do you feel confident looking for answers or asking for help?
-
Do you have a reliable internet connection and basic computer access?
-
Are you or your older student familiar with using email and typing on a computer?
-
Do you feel ready to support your student’s learning at home, as needed?
If you’re unsure about any of these, don’t worry - we’re here to help! Reach out to a teacher or our intake coordinator to talk through your family’s needs.
