Family at the Centre.

We believe that God has entrusted parents with the primary responsibility for their children's education and growth. We see ourselves as partners in that mission, coming alongside families to support, not replace, this critical role. Every part of our school structure is built to empower teachers in supporting home-based learning but to best meet the needs of families and nurture each child’s development.

One Teacher Per Family.

We strive to make the learning journey as smooth and supported as possible for families. To foster strong communication and meaningful relationships, each family is carefully matched with a teacher who will create and oversee the learning plans for all their children. Many of our families stay with the same teachers for their entire academic career! When beneficial, additional teachers may be involved to provide specialized support, always with the goal of enhancing each child’s learning and serving the unique needs of the family.  If a family's needs change or the fit isn’t quite right, we offer the flexibility to transition to another teacher when one is available.

Learning Happens Everywhere.

We know that every family is different, and that means no two learning experiences will be the same. Our learning plans are built to weave with the natural routines of each family, with the belief that meaningful learning happens everywhere: at home, in the community, while traveling, and through everyday life experiences. Our teachers partner with parents to choose resources that reflect the family’s goals and support the student’s learning style, always with the aim of meeting Ministry of Education and Child Care expectations while honouring what makes each family unique. Selection is never based on what’s easiest for the school, but on what best serves the student and supports parents in their God-given role.

Diversity is Part of God's Design.

At our school, we welcome students who may not thrive in traditional learning environments. We believe every child can succeed when their education is personalized to fit their unique learning style, pace, and interests. Our teachers use a variety of delivery methods, creative strategies, and one-on-one support to design a learning plan tailored to each student. Families are equipped with helpful resources and, if they choose, training in educational techniques to enhance the home learning experience. Our flexible model allows students to explore learning through both traditional and non-traditional activities, at a pace and schedule that works for their family. Teachers also enjoy the benefits of flexible work hours, which further supports the creativity and dedication they bring to each learning plan.

Some of the strategies our families love include:

  • Multi-age learning, where siblings can study a topic together, each at their own level, encouraging collaboration and connection.

  • Unit Studies, which combine subjects like English, Social Studies, and Science into rich, cohesive projects that make learning more meaningful.

  • Literature-based learning, using quality books to spark curiosity and make lessons come alive in memorable ways.

Relationships Are Everything.

The strength of our academic program comes from our shared purpose. Teachers, staff, and leadership work closely together, supporting one another with their collective experience and specialized knowledge to serve students and families with excellence. Open communication is essential at every level, from students and parents to teachers, administrators, and the Board to fostering trust and teamwork throughout the school community. Whenever possible, decisions are made through thoughtful discussion and consensus, ensuring all voices are heard. Each person has a meaningful role to play, and we value accountability as a key part of our growth and success. Most importantly, we intentionally nurture the relational culture that makes our community unique. Because when relationships thrive, learning does too.
